I always seem to love Lori Whitlock’s fabric lines! And, I’m so excited to get to join in on the blog tour for her latest, Happiness Is Handmade.
Everything about this fabric makes me happy, and happiness is something that my heart needs so much right now.
I’ve been slowly building a collection of toss pillows that will eventually find a home on the window seat in our breakfast area, and this blog tour was the perfect opportunity to add a new one. I started with a log cabin block in the center, and then added patchwork squares around, keeping with the same grouped color theme.
Here are the measurements that I used for a 16″ finished pillow cover:
Center block: 2 1/2″ square
Log cabin strips: 1 1/2″ wide
Surrounding patchwork squares: 4 1/2″ square
I quilted the top in diagonal rows.
And, I finished the back with a hidden zipper.
Thank you so much for letting me join in the Happiness Is Handmade (Yes! Yes, it is!) tour, Lori! I adore my new pillow!
Love this pillow!!
